The SPOE is here to help families access available First Steps services.
"I enjoy feeling like I'm making a positive impact on a child's future. No day is ever the same. I've met a lot of really great people"
- M.W. (Service Coordinator)
The System Point of Entry or "SPOE" is the central point of contact for families, First Steps providers, medical offices and other community partners. The SPOE receives referrals and provides initial and ongoing service coordination for families. The SPOE is also responsible for keeping records for all children referred, as well as generating provider payment authorizations.
Eligibility Determination Teams (ED Teams) are therapists that conduct assessments to determine whether a child meets First Steps eligibility criteria. These therapists are part of the SPOE. To view contact information for ED Team members, Click Here.
The Service and/or Intake Coordinator serves as the primary contact for a family to access services for their child. Coordinators are also part of the SPOE. To contact a coordinator, Click Here.
The Central Indiana SPOE is committed to working with First Steps providers and community partners to serve the needs of children and families. Please feel free to contact us anytime with any questions or concerns.
